On the 13.05.2006 Pyrovision took part on behalf of Austria in the baroque fireworks competition in Hannover, Herrenhausen, in Germany following previous successes at the international fireworks competitions in Chantilly/ France 2004 and Knokke/ Belgium 2005.
The Pyrovision team tells the story of the city of Salzburg in sparks and flames. The project is entitled ‘Salzburg - The Choreography of a City’ and is assisted by the narration of Beda Percht and musical accompaniment of such composers as Thierry Zaboitzeff.
The fireworks were consciously choreographed to avoid a bombastic display of pyrotechnical armoury. This reduction of special effects enabled the emotional baroque character of the gardens of the stately homes to be brought to the fore in perfect unison with the music...
